GIORGIO OLIVIERI (Verona - 1937)    

He was born in Verona, where he lives and works. He completes his artistic studies in the Art School in Modena. He starts exibiting and teaching early in the 60's, taking part in shows in Italy and abroad and developping his research in the field of non-objective painting. His works are present in many public and private collections. In 1967, together with other artists (Baj, Del Pezzo, Tadini, Berti, etc) he works at the illustration of "Esperimenti sul metodo", sixteen volumes in single edition by Roberto Sanesi. In 1979 and in 1983 he is named by Guido Ballo, Giuseppe Marchiori and Giorgio Cortenova in "Catalogo Bolaffi della Pittura" (Bolaffi Catalogue of Painters). In 1990 he performs a big wall painting in the primary school of Arco (Trento). He appears in the "Dizionario del Fare Arte Contemporaneo" (History of Italian Art) by Lara Vinca Masini, published in 1992 by Sansoni. He is present in "Storia dell'Arte Italiana" (History of Italian Art), published in 1993 by Electa and, since 1976, in "Dizionario dei Pittori e degli Scultori" (Painters and Carvers Dictionary) by Benezit. Since 1989 he is the President of the Fine Arts Society in Verona.
